It is with sincere gratitude to Christian Science for many blessings...
It is with sincere gratitude to Christian Science for many blessings I have received over a period of fifty-one years that I submit this testimony. I became interested in Christian Science in 1911, and after reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was convinced of its logical and practical application to daily living.
I owe my life and safe return from active service after World War I to the dedicated practitioner. I experienced nothing worse than frostbite, and this was quickly healed by my understanding that man, as God's reflection, has never been exposed to a material condition called war, but has always been in the consciousness of divine Love.
Some months ago I suffered from a severe internal chill in my chest. I became weak and ill and lost interest in food. In fact, it was a great effort to take any nourishment. The situation seemed more than I could meet, since I was living alone. Friends very kindly arranged for me to go to a Christian Science House, where I had most loving nursing care. Within a very short time I received a complete healing through the treatment of an experienced practitioner, and there has been no return of the symptoms. My stay of six weeks was for me a wonderful evidence of the care of divine Love, our Father-Mother. The love expressed by everyone there can be illustrated by the parable of the good Samaritan.
