Communication—How?
Communication is certainly one of the main questions these days. How can it take place more effectively between individuals and nations?
In Christian Science, a prime factor in effective communication is to know God as Love and man, the son of God, as the expression of this Love whatever human differences of color, race, background, and circumstance might appear. As the expression of God, love is a universal language.
One time on the island of Oahu in Hawaii the writer stopped at a pineapple hut to purchase a couple of pineapples for a special occasion. To her discomfort she found the hut closed and repairs under way. She stopped, and walking around to the back, she saw a native Hawaiian. It seemed he could speak very little English, and she no Hawaiian. He was gracious, and with many gesticulations she told him she greatly wished to purchase two pineapples. Finally he indicated that she was to wait. Shortly he came out with two of the most luscious pineapples she had ever seen.
