True Substance Is True Power
Jesus was the most powerful man ever to have lived on this planet.
He had no great possessions, great wealth. He was not the ruler of a very strong country. He possessed no special physical or technical prowess.
Not one of these account for the Master's unprecedented and unparalleled might. It was the Christly qualities of Spirit, God, he expressed—in other words, the true spiritual substance of his being—that enabled him to heal the sick, cleanse the sinner, raise the dead, and accomplish his ascension. Christ Jesus derived his power from knowing God as omnipotent and entirely good, from knowing himself to be the Son of God, possessing all of God's qualities, and from proving his spiritual sonship through his dominion over the flesh.
