In the summer of 1962, while drying after a shower, I discovered a lump in each breast. Overwhelmed with fear, I called my teacher in Christian Science. I was told simply and emphatically to "get rid of that fear, and you will be all right." The fear seemed tenacious. A comforting thought came by way of a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal with words by Mrs. Eddy (No. 160):
False fears are foes—truth tatters those, When understood.
