Who Are You?
Where do you live? What are your family connections and background? Are you black, yellow, or white? Are you privileged or underprivileged, titled or untitled? Would the answers to these questions tell you about your fundamental selfhood and the reason for your being?
Today many are searching for their real identity, desperately trying to escape the cold anonymity of an overpopulated, highly pressurized technical society. This search is leading men to explore every avenue of human experience, which may account for the new philosophies of our times, the permissiveness of society, the challenges to the status quo and moral standards.
Some people are exploring spiritual values. Others, hoping to establish their individuality by experimenting with drugs, escape into material sensation, while still others are persuaded that they are "identifying" by being greatly involved with some group or absorbed in family relationships. It is evident from these examples that the individual is yearning to prove his worth as an individual.
