Mary Baker Eddy states on page 463 of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."

This truth that "a spiritual idea has not a single element of error" was proved in a beautiful healing in our family. When our grandson was born two years ago, my son–in–law, who was not a student of Christian Science, telephoned me to tell me that X rays revealed badly damaged lungs and double–clubbing of the baby's feet. When I was notified of this condition, I turned to God for comfort and guidance, and the above quoted statement came to me. Like an angel thought, it was with me constantly to lift me above the clamor caused by this mortal mind picture.

On the third day, because of great improvement in the infant's breathing, X rays were again taken, and they revealed the lungs to be in perfect condition. The feet and legs were then put into casts, with permission of the child's father, and the medical prediction was that he would have to wear them for six months to a year.
