Stick to Business
"Mind your own business" may sound like a rebuke, but actually it is a word to the wise. When an individual attends to business, he is doing his rightful work and is not diverted from his purposeful course. As Christian Science teaches, the power behind such right actions is divine Mind, God.
It does seem, however, that there is a false material mentality, or mortal mind as it is called in Christian Science. This so-called mind claims to have power and to love diversion.
Hasn't it happened, for example, that just as you sat down to study or pray, a thought came to you that you should make a phone call first, or mix the cake you planned to bake, or straighten a picture on the wall? Though these seem trifling examples, mortal mind tends to work this way.
