I am very grateful for the practicality of Christian Science. To know that we have the tools we need to solve our human problems is a source of assurance and confidence. These tools are the truths contained in our textbooks—the Bible, and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

Daily I am becoming more aware of the growing value these truths have in my life—how they affect not only me but those around me as well.

In working with young children, as a teacher, I have had clear evidence that when I see these children as reflections of God's perfection, as His very image and likeness, they respond in that manner. Whenever they seem to become difficult or unresponsive, I am developing the habit of stopping right where we are and turning immediately to God for a clearer understanding of order. It sometimes seems almost a marvel to me to see how establishing peace and quiet expectancy of good in thought completely eradicates the inharmony. This is God's law in action, however, so it is divinely natural, as Mrs. Eddy reminds us (Science and Health, p. 304): "Harmony in man is as beautiful as in music, and discord is unnatural, unreal."
