A Right Sense of Meditation
Active spiritual meditation is an important aspect of Christian Science practice.
The more a student lives in spiritual reality consciously apart from matter—that is, the more he feels and knows himself to exist as a divine idea in God, in infinite Mind—the better for him.
Mrs. Eddy makes this abundantly clear: "He advances most in divine Science who meditates most on infinite spiritual substance and intelligence."Miscellaneous Writings, p. 309; And further on she adds: "The consciousness of corporeality, and whatever is connected therewith, must be outgrown. Corporeal falsities include all obstacles to health, holiness, and heaven."
