No More Delays
For most of us there are times when we would dearly love to see things being done more promptly—to get quicker results, to be exempt from delays. We may feel like fervently praying in the manner of the Psalmist, "Thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God." Ps 40:17
Yet, God does not tarry; there are no delays in His activity. His work is already finished. His universe has always been complete, and He has liberally provided for the supply of all His offspring's needs throughout eternity. The prophet Isaiah represents God as saying, "It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear." Isa. 65:24
Christian Science reveals that God, the creator, is omnipotent, divine Principle. His universe is spiritual, governed by the immutable law of Love. In truth it is established in perfect harmony and completeness from the beginning. Commenting on the passage "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good," Gen. 1:31 Mrs. Eddy writes in Science and Health, "The divine Principle, or Spirit, comprehends and expresses all, and all must therefore be as perfect as the divine Principle is perfect." Science and Health, p. 518
