During my childhood I watched my mother pray to God and saw her prayers answered many times. She taught me that God never fails to answer righteous prayer and if my prayer wasn't answered I had failed to pray rightly. Seeing my mother's devotion to the Bible, I began to read it, only to become discouraged because I could not understand it, so I put the Bible away.

A few years later, after marriage, I moved next door to a family that expressed happiness, understanding, and love. One morning the wife showed me how to read the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly. I read from the Bible; then my neighbor read from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I knew that in Christian Science, my neighbor's religion, I had found what I needed to give me the understanding of the Bible and all its glorious promises.

Through the years my family have had healings of pneumonia, measles, mumps in a severe form, whooping cough, cuts, and bruises. Family relationship problems have been worked out harmoniously.
