The Light That Heals

A Christian Science treatment brings into focus the healing light of divine Mind. This light is the brightness of God's glory, the peace, tenderness, and joy emanating from infinite Love. When understood and applied with scientific precision, it destroys the dark figments of mortal thought that parade as disease, sin, lack.

The healing work can be quick and effective, for Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health, "The rays of infinite Truth, when gathered into the focus of ideas, bring light instantaneously, whereas a thousand years of human doctrines, hypotheses, and vague conjectures emit no such effulgence." Science and Health, p. 504;

Spiritual healing results as we get still and humbly listen to Mind for the specific spiritual truths that we need to apply to specific human problems. We must understand that all phases of evil are mortally mental and each specific error has its counterfact in Truth. Prayerful communion with Mind will reveal what we need to know and affirm. Divine intelligence will bring its wisdom and guidance "into the focus of ideas," and our confident, prayerful realization of their potency will nullify the problem, whatever it claims to be. Speaking of her own conception of spiritual power and its application, Mrs. Eddy writes, "My work is reflected light,—a drop from His ocean of love, from the underived glory, the divine Esse."
