"Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord
"Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord" (Ps. 150:6). The blessings accruing for many years from my study of Christian Science are too many to enumerate. Some came from applying this Science of Christianity to my own life and problems. Some came from serving the Cause in church work and other ways. Christian Science has opened up opportunities for me as a performing musician and music teacher, broadened my perspective and abilities, resolved thorny human relationships, and enabled me to give pupils more freedom and confidence.
The daily study of the Lesson-Sermon, plus regular attendance at both the Wednesday testimony meetings and the Sunday services, has brought me a continually fresh sense of joy, inspiration, and health, and has revealed important spiritual goals.
Among many healings experienced, I will mention two in recent years. One was that of bronchial pneumonia. A physician was called in accordance with state law because some of my family thought I had tuberculosis. The doctor thought so, too, at first. At my request he gave me no treatment. The condition was healed through prayer—my own and that of a consecrated Christian Science practitioner and members of my family. I am grateful to several dedicated Christian Science nurses for their loving support and assistance during this illness. Mrs. Eddy's advice, "Gratitude and love should abide in every heart each day of all the years" (Manual of The Mother Church, Art. XVII, Sect. 2), helped keep my thought affirmative and grateful throughout this trial.
