"Ouch!" exclaimed Sam as he cautiously removed the kitten from his shoulder and put it on the kitchen floor. "Not every family gets a lion for a surprise Christmas present!"

Anxious meows became yowls, so that Becky, Sam's younger sister, hurried in to help.

"Snowflake just misses her five brothers and sisters," Becky assured her brother.
