This loving religion, Christian Science, has brought many blessings to me and loved ones.

One of the outstanding healings came to the infant son of a member of my family. Soon after his birth the physicians informed the parents that the child would probably be unable to be active in any way, if he survived. They reported there was lack of intelligence, as well as lack of an auditory nerve. It was suggested that he be placed in an institution. When the parents opposed this, they were told to give him tender care at home and to be hopeful.

The parents are not students of Christian Science, but the mother gladly gave consent for treatment by a Christian Science practitioner for the child. The practitioner never faltered in her dedicated concern. Many mortal beliefs were soon overcome. Improvement was shown in the infant's ability to take nourishment, the harmonious function of the digestive system, strength, and the disappearance of hernias. He became alert, and brought joy to all who saw him.
