An Interview: on parents and teen-agers
Hank and Margie Hamlin are the parents of three daughters, a high school sophomore, a freshman and a senior in college. They agreed to this interview because they thought it might help parents who find the teens a disturbing time. Hank is an editor, designer, and photographer, and Margie is a children's librarian. During school vacations the family gets together for backpacking on wilderness trails and ski trips. "We really enjoy each other's company," says Margie.
What's your home like?
Margie: Casual, informal, happy, busy. There's a lot of independence, people going about their own affairs.
