Many newly coined expressions are enriching our speech, enabling us to express ideas both vividly and concisely.
Take, for example, the word "uptight." What an accurate picture of the tension and stress that is plaguing so many!
Over the years, doctors and researchers have tried to discover just how to beat tension and achieve the relaxation that is so important to health and happiness. Many approaches have been hopefully tried—drugs, diet, exercise, warm baths, consciously watching muscular action to keep it loose, and so on.
