I am truly grateful for Christian Science. It has taught me to rely only on God, the Giver of all good. I have had many beautiful healings through the study and application of this wonderful religion, which Mrs. Eddy so faithfully and courageously has given us, explaining the teaching and works of Christ Jesus, our Way-shower.

My first healing was that of heart trouble for which the doctor had said there was no cure. A dear friend invited me to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and I knew that the truth I heard was what I had been searching for. Through the patient work of a Christian Science practitioner and diligent study of the textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I was healed of this heart condition in a short time. This condition had existed for five or six years, and I realized it had developed because of my homesickness for Germany.

My eldest son was a captain of the football team in his school. In spring training, he dislocated his shoulder. The school authorities sent him to the hospital, where the shoulder was put in place. In the meantime, when we received the call that he was in the hospital, I immediately declared the truths that God was the only presence and there were no accidents in divine Mind. The doctor had told my son that he would have to rest the shoulder for five weeks. However, in three days, through our prayer to God, his shoulder was as strong as it ever was.
