A WRITER'S PRAYER
O Lord, save me from contributing
to the millions of useless words
printed daily in the world!
Let me reflect as clearly as I can
the ideas already presented
by Your omniscience.
Let me feel the positive hand
of Your omnipresence
and the impact of Your omnipotence.
Silence the material senses
that I may know the nearness of Soul,
the sureness of Spirit,
the pureness of Principle,
and the oneness of Mind.
Show me, dear Lord, my role
in the spiritual drama of Life.
Tell me, I pray, Your will
so I may be an obedient son
following Truth.
Hold me, my Father,
a little longer
to savor the warmth of Your love,
the present fact of heaven.
