Many beautiful healings are effected through the prayers of loved ones. I would like to express gratitude for one such healing I had several years ago.

I was completely healed of a heart condition the medical faculty had told me was incurable. I had been a semi-invalid for three years, when I went to visit relatives who are dedicated Christian Scientists. I knew very little about their religion and did not ask for help, because I never thought of Christian Science as being able to heal. However, much love was expressed in their home, and I felt a great sense of peace while there. When I returned home, I was so well that I never again went to the doctor for this condition or took any medicine. Nor did I ever have any more pain in my heart.

I did not then realize that I had been healed but only thought I felt better because of the lovely vacation I had enjoyed. Several months later I suffered a dislocation of the spine and was in intense pain for three months. This condition had previously plagued me for about twenty years. Frequently a disk in my back would slip, causing great pain and making it impossible for me to walk or be active. Then it would go back into place again. We had exhausted all medical methods of treatment, and I had worn a brace on my back for several years. I then tried chiropractic treatment, which always gave me relief but no permanent healing.
