"Be not dismayed"

Are you dismayed about this restless modern age? Are you uneasy and concerned about waves of crime, war, disease, the upheaval among today's youth? Are you frightened by the destructive claims of nuclear power or shocked by the predictions of an approaching biochemical age? Turn to the Bible.

Many a troubled heart throughout the centuries has found great comfort in this Scriptural promise from Isaiah: "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isa, 41:10

How wonderful it is to know that the power of God's presence is just as available now to help men as it was in the time of the prophets! Therefore when unrest and uncertainty, confusion and perplexity, would claim to be the order of the day, fear not! Be not dismayed! Listen again to the divine message, "I am with thee." Know that this is a divine pronouncement of the indivisibility of God and man. Then know that this oneness of being is the basis from which anxiety and fear can be triumphantly challenged and destroyed.
