My first introduction to Christian Science was in the following manner. My husband and I had lost our first child. Even though I was not a Christian Scientist at this time, I refused to believe the child had died, and I did not attend the funeral, nor have I ever been to the grave. Later I was to learn that it was this firm stand and my acknowledgment of God as Life that resulted in my being healed of any grief whatsoever.

However, when we were going through this experience, I was expecting our second child. I was in mental agony, questioning my former beliefs concerning God and creation. Shortly after the birth of our second daughter I collapsed in the hospital. It was while reading a quotation from Mrs. Eddy in a Sentinel, which a dear friend had brought me, that I received my first healing. For the first time my questions in regard to Deity were answered, and I regained my strength and was able to return home.

I am very grateful for Mrs. Eddy and her gift to mankind. Christian Science, or Christ's divine healing, is with us now, saving and healing the world. I am most grateful for the regenerating power of Christian Science.
