Don't Worry—Rejoice!
Christian Science is the Science of joy. Christ Jesus said, "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full."John 15:11;
Many people think of joy as almost accidental, a fortunate freak of mood. They cannot predict joy for themselves, still less command it. But a Christian Scientist knows where joy is to be found, knows how to make it his own, and aims to be so filled with joy each day that it overflows without effort into other lives.
If he loses his delight in everyday living, he works to restore it, and he knows how such work must be done. His joy is not chancy, nor is it at the mercy of other people's behavior. He is aware that he lives in a spiritual universe in which joy is not an intermittent experience to the real man of God's creation but a quality of Life itself, so that to live is to be joyful.
