In my early twenties I was healed in one Christian Science treatment of a severe nervous breakdown after a physician and a nerve specialist had told me they could do nothing for me. In gratitude I began to study Christian Science diligently to find out how I had been healed.

For many years every need was supplied, every problem solved, through Christian Science. I was healed of influenza, partial deafness, and appendicitis. Christian Science was my daily guide in the teaching profession. As I held to the truth of man as God created him, problems of inability to learn and disciplinary conditions were overcome among the children. Grief over the loss of my father, a child, and my husband was healed. Business and financial problems were wisely solved when I was left with property to care for but had no knowledge of business. There was a constant awareness of God's presence and guidance.

Later I married a student of Christian Science who is a consecrated worker, and together we had many convincing proofs of the healing power of God. I retired from my profession to help care for elderly relatives who were not Christian Scientists. Upon the passing of these relatives the problems lifted, but I seemed to be worn out and mesmerized by the pictures of ill health I had encountered. I could not seem to destroy the pictures as we are admonished to do in the Bible (see Num. 33:52).
