"For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace."...

"For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace." These words from Isaiah (55:12) were an inspriation as I completed my Nurses Training Course at the Christian Science Benevolent Association, a course for which I am most grateful.

I have been a student of Christian Science all my life, but never before have I felt the need to study with such earnestness of purpose, to learn more of the Christ, Truth, and then to live what I learn. The daily demand for spiritual growth has enriched my life.

Another activity for which I am grateful is Christian Science class instruction. Before taking class instruction I believed many things. After completing the course I understood. The Nurses Training Course has given me an opportunity to put into practice the understanding gained. It has taught me the paramount necessity of reflecting in consciousness the characteristics of both the angel Michael, and the angel Gabriel, as described in the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (pp. 566, 567): "The Old Testament assigns to the angels, God's divine messages, different offices. Michael's characteristic is spiritual strength. He leads the hosts of heaven against the power of sin, Satan, and fights the holywars. Gabriel has the more quiet task of imparting a sense of the ever-presence of ministering Love. These angels deliver us from the depths."
