Bowels and mercies (Phil. 2:1)

The Greek word translated "bowels" was used to denote the seat of the emotions, pity, or compassion. The New English Bible has, "warmth of affection or compassion," and Phillips, "kindness and deep sympathy."

Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love (Phil. 2:2)
