What Has Christian Science to Offer Me?

[For young adults]

Perhaps you have a roommate at college who is a Christian Scientist. Or perhaps you have been attracted by notices of the meetings of the Christian Science college organization on your campus and have attended one of these meetings. You ask yourself, "What has Christian Science to offer me?"

Christian Science offers you, during your days at college, an understanding of God and of man's relationship to God, through which you can find your true spiritual selfhood. The correct view of God and man enables you to be a more effective scholar, a more compassionate classmate, a more discriminating observer of the ferment and turmoil present on college campuses, and a more intelligent participant in working out necessary changes. Later in life this same correct view of God and man can make you a better businessman or professional person, a wiser and more loving parent, or a more inspiring teacher.

The healing action of Christian Science produces a fundamental change in the thinking of the individual. Christian Scientists accept God as the only cause and creator, the source of all action and intelligence. They recognize God as the basis of all true being and the starting point of all that really is.
