Urban Renewal with Justice and Harmony
In this age of megalopolitan living, public and private construction projects abound. And yet a recent survey of urban ghettos reported that housing is among the top three or four problems.
When governmental action initiates property condemnation or a landlord serves notice, businesses and people must move. Some don't want to move. Some can't afford to move. Some have nowhere to go. Should the welfare of displaced persons count for less than the common good?
Christian Science asserts that not a single individual can fail to count if we fully realize the eternal relationship of God, divine Principle, to the real man, His beloved, spiritual idea. This truly scientific understanding perfectly balances the welfare of the individual with the universal welfare.
