I will always be grateful to the Christian Science friend who, when I asked how she prayed, gave me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy and recommended that I read the chapter on Prayer. I did read the chapter and then put the book on a shelf, where it reposed for a year until I was driven by chronic ill health to begin the study of this beautiful religion.

I was hospitalized for tests, and had taken a copy of Science and Health with me. During this period of two weeks I started to read and ponder the truths. I was healed of a painful condition. No drugs were administered.
