About twenty years ago I began to study Christian Science because of a physical problem. I had suffered from stomach trouble, for which I had consulted doctors and specialists. There was no relief until I asked for treatment in Christian Science. The help given me by the Christian Science practitioner resulted in a complete healing.

Through the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, I overcame the habits of smoking and social drinking. I also was healed of colds, cuts, and burns. In my study I was especially helped by applying the truth of "the scientific statement of being," including this sentence (ibid., p. 468), "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." Each day I prayed the "Daily Prayer" from the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy (p. 41): " 'Thy kingdom come;' let the reign of divine Truth, Life, and Love be established in me, and rule out of me all sin; and may Thy Word enrich the affections of all mankind, and govern them!"

I am grateful to say I have learned to know God and man's relationship to Him much better by the teaching of the Bible and Science and Health as given in our Bible Lessons. For membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, for class instruction and the yearly association meeting, which renews and refreshes thought, I am very grateful.
