Words of Current Interest

The words in this issue are related to the Lesson-Sermon in the CHRISTIAN SCIENCE QUARTERLY designated to be read in Christian Science churches on March 16, 1969.

It shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh (Joel 2:28)

According to the statement recorded in Acts, Chapter 2, as made by the Apostle Peter in the course of his famous sermon on the Day of Pentecost, what was predicted in this and the following verses came to pass at the time of the descent of the Holy Spirit. Cf. Acts 2:16: "This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel."

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people (Ps. 125:2)
