Several years ago I had been having many painful earaches. Sometimes I could not sleep at night. One night I awoke and found that I had another earache. I decided to try to work on it in Christian Science myself. The little children's prayer by Mrs. Eddy came to mind since I knew it very well (Poems, p. 69):

Father-Mother God,
Loving me,—
Guard me when I sleep;
Guide my little feet
Up to Thee.
