It is with great joy that I bear witness to the healing power of Truth as taught and understood in Christian Science. Throughout my life I have received many proofs of the power of God to meet every need, whether for physical healing or for the correction of some other problem.

Mrs. Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health (p. 494): "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need. It is not well to imagine that Jesus demonstrated the divine power to heal only for a select number or for a limited period of time, since to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good."

The truth of this statement was proved conclusively to me one afternoon some years ago when I was engaged in cultivating our kitchen garden with a large, powerful mechanical rotovator. It became apparent that the machine required more fuel, so I brought it to a standstill, but left the engine idling. While refueling, I accidentally pushed the lever which engaged the cutter tines. One of my feet was under these and received the whole impact as the machine went into action. The machine is quite capable of smashing up bricks without any difficulty.
