I wish to express my deep sense of gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.

During the years that I have been a student of Christian Science, I have had many opportunities to prove God's Loving care for His children. My husband and I became interested in Christian Science at the same time, shortly after meeting each other many years ago. After our marriage we became members of The Mother Church and a branch church and later had class instruction.

My husband was a professional businessman, and we maintained a well-established business for many years. A few months after we started in business, however, we were not able to meet our financial obligations and were asked to move. We then had to prove that God was the source of our supply. At this point we called a Christian Science practitioner, who assured us that if we wholeheartedly relied on the teachings of Christian Science we would awaken from the dream of lack and limitation. We were also told to study the weekly Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly and a passage from Miscellaneous Writings in which Mrs. Eddy says (p. 307): "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." This study, and the realization of each statement, lifted our thinking into a clearer recognition of God's infinite abundance, and in a very short time the business was active.
