"The seed within itself"
The picturesque and symbolic record of creation set forth in the first chapter of Genesis mentions the seed within itself as the perpetuating power of right ideas. We see the evidence of this truth in nature when trees and flowers, fruit and grain, reseed themselves and produce new crops, new flowers, new saplings. Behind such human evidence we can glimpse the metaphysical fact. Mrs. Eddy says, "The seed within itself is the pure thought emanating from divine Mind." Science and Health p. 508;
The only actual creative power is God, the divine Mind, and men are fruitful in right endeavors as they reflect this creative power through inspiration, through intelligence, through persistence and love. As the source of all being, God perpetuates His creation with spiritual ideas. We need to cherish these ideas, love them, and let them germinate within our consciousness. If we care for them and nourish them, they will come forth in fullness of realization, and we will be faithful over a few things that we may reflect God's dominion over all the earth.
