The healing I am about to relate has brought me beautiful spiritual progress. One day I experienced great pain and rigidity in the shoulder and right arm. Despite my affirmation that none of this was the truth, the pain became more intense. I contacted a Christian Science practitioner, who began to lift my thought to reality, to Truth. Her words, "God has created man in His image and likeness," brought me great light.

I work in an office and for some time had had difficulty with a fellow worker. I was treated discourteously, and this made me feel uncomfortable and unappreciated by this individual. Through the words of the practitioner, "image and likeness," I realized that I must endeavor to understand man as the perfect idea of God. I knew also that I was protected and loved by the Father, and that I was comfortable in the place where He had put me. The pain began to yield, and the rigidity disappeared.

For some days there were still moments when the disability manifested itself. I turned to the Father with these words: "How fortunate I am to have all the weapons which you give me with which to defend myself!" I felt a great sense of compassion for suffering humanity, so much of which does not know of the divine way of Christian Science. There was marked improvement.
