RADIO PROGRAM NO. 355 - How Can You Say Life Is Wonderful?
[The speaker is Philip Metcalf. The questioner is Leslie Range.]
Questioner: As a newspaper reporter and a member of the black community, I've come in contact with people who are living in wretched conditions. They are searching for meaningful recognition and meaningful jobs. How can people in these circumstances say that life is wonderful?
Speaker: There is no pat answer, because everybody's circumstances and backgrounds are so different. But many have gained an answer to this question by glimpsing more of what life really is. Isn't there more to life than one's race, history, environment, things, or lack of things?
