I am very grateful for Christian Science

I am very grateful for Christian Science. I am especially grateful for the privilege of serving as an attendant in the Christian Science Reading Room of our branch church, where the voice of the church may be said to continue its healing message to the community every day of the week. The sale of Christian Science periodicals to those who come in takes Church to the community. In return, many come to church to learn more of God's love for man and to gain spiritual consciousness.

Often the stranger coming to the Reading Room asks if he can be healed in Christian Science without knowing anything about it. I always tell him that if he believes in God I am sure he can, as my very first healing took place before I knew anything about Christian Science.

I had a knee injury when I was a little girl just starting to school. My parents had two of the best doctors taking care of me. Surgery was performed on my knee, but it did not improve. I was unable to sleep or eat, and the doctors told my parents they did not think I could live. My parents took me home from the hospital, and the doctors told them that if I survived, one leg would always be shorter than the other one. This leg was put in a cast, and there was much pain.
