I should like to express my sincere gratitude for all the blessings...
I should like to express my sincere gratitude for all the blessings our family have received through the study and application of Christian Science. It was my happy privilege to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, which gave me the foundation to learn more about my relationship to God and how to apply this truth in daily living. The joy of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church has also afforded much spiritual growth.
Mrs. Eddy says in Science and Health (p. 35), "We can unite with this church only as we are new-born of Spirit, as we reach the Life which is Truth and the Truth which is Life by bringing forth the fruits of Love,—casting out error and healing the sick."
One outstanding healing experienced by our daughter some years ago was that of listlessness and high fever and no appetite. For several days we worked and prayed together, and one evening the little girl said to me, "Mother, why do I have to feel this way?" My answer to her was that the sickness did not belong to her as God's perfect idea. We sang a number of Mrs. Eddy's hymns, and in a short time she fell asleep.
