"Healing in The Christian Church" was the subject of Rev. Vickrey Dougherty's sermon Sunday at Yucaipa Methodist Church....

"Healing played a major role in the ministry of the early Christian Church," said the pastor. "The corruption which invaded the church as it acquired power and popularity killed its power to heal. The abandonment of healing by the church has condemned many people to disease and suffering.... Every church should develop a healing ministry to its people.... Many people who call themselves Christians still have a lot of ill will, self-pity and fear buried inside of them...."
