Several times during his ministry to humanity, Christ Jesus said, "Thy faith hath made thee whole" (Matt. 9:22).
A deep gratitude abides with me for my first introduction to Christian Science. At the time I did not recognize this event to be an answer to a long-cherished desire.
"There is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding" (Job 32:8). And in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, we read, "Understanding is a quality of God, a quality which separates Christian Science from supposition and makes Truth final" (p. 506). With the understanding I have gained of Christian Science I have been able overcome ailments for myself, including habit of biting my fingernails. It is over twenty years since this habit was vanquished.
