"And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27).

Many years ago in working out the problem of lumps in my breast I realized that as a Christian Scientist I had an opportunity to prove God's power over disease. I called a Christian Science practitioner and went to see him immediately. Treatment through prayer was given. This healing was not a quick one. During the first year not much progress was apparent. In fact, the physical symptoms seemed to become worse. Then one afternoon I realized there was much to be done on my part, that spiritualization of consciousness was needed. During the second year there were interesting unfoldments of the truth as I gained a more certain sense of God's omnipotence and omnipresence.

One unfoldment was the conquest over fear. I learned this lesson: "When fear disappears, the foundation of disease is gone" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 368). Another unfoldment was the ability to study long hours in spite of continual pain.
