MEASUREMENT
"How tall are you?" the blanks inquire;
"What do you weigh?"
And on that ground
I answer blanks as they require
in upward span and fleshly pound—
false measurements, of course. For I
am tall as my truest aim can reach
to grasp God's good and hold it high.
And my virtues gauge my weight; for each
broadens my concept of God, all-knowing,
multiplies faith in God, all-seeing,
and adds praise for blessings of His bestowing.
In goodness and virtue God measures my being!
