A Proper Sense of Concern
Christian Science emphasizes the reality of good and the unreality of evil and teaches its adherents to keep their thoughts filled with the goodness of God, for in this way they experience more and more of the presence of good in their lives. Does this tend to isolate them from concern for their fellowmen and from a proper sense of sympathy and care for others? It should not. When this Science is thoroughly understood, it will be found that it shows the most effective way that one can care for his neighbor and aid him to come to a better understanding of his own well-being under the government of God.
Christ Jesus' ministry reveals the very core of Christian Science.
It shows the love that concerns itself with the problems of mankind. "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16; And it is well to examine just how Jesus did meet the needs of his fellowmen. It was through bringing the Christ, the true idea of God, to humanity. It was through his demonstration of the Christ that Jesus healed the sick, fed the multitude, and raised the dead. It was through the effectiveness of his ministry that Jesus became known as the Way, the way to heal and save mankind.
