I am exceedingly grateful for the many blessings that have come to my family and me through the study and application of Christian Science. I want to express my sincere and heartfelt gratitude for the day, over thirty years ago, on which I received my introduction to this religion.
At that time a young woman who was studying Christian Science was working as my secretary. She would leave Christian Science literature lying where I could not help seeing it. Finally, out of curiosity more than anything else, I started to read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy to see what it was all about.
At the time I was a very heavy user of tobacco. I read the book through; and when I had finished reading, I was completely freed of the tobacco habit and have had no further desire to use tobacco. The social drinking habit was also eliminated. Soon thereafter I joined The Mother Church and a branch church.
