Christian Science was first...
Christian Science was first presented to my parents by a friend in 1917 through The Herald of Christian Science, and it has been a staff to lean on in times of difficulty. My children have been healed of so-called children's diseases as well as of other conditions.
A member of the family had suffered for ten days from quinsy. He was not interested at that time in Christian Science and had had medical treatment, including lancing, but his condition was not relieved. Then one night, after he had been suffering all day and had had only one hour in bed the night before, he withdrew his opposition to Christian Science treatment. We had no telephone; so I went out to call a practitioner. When I came back he was asleep. He was able to stay in bed that night, and in the early morning the abscess broke. He was soon well again.
Before coming into Christian Science, I had an annual attack of tonsillitis, which lasted about two weeks, but the attackes have disappeared, as have colds and sore throats.
