I truly desire to tell of my...
I truly desire to tell of my gratitude for Mrs. Eddy, who, building on the foundational truths taught and demonstrated by Christ Jesus, our Exemplar, gave us the textbook of Christian Science.
I should also like to share an experience of some years ago. I was still a new student of Christian Science and had called a practitioner to help me because I was manifesting all the symptoms of shingles. The way the condition was spreading and the general physical appearance fascinated me so that I was not obedient to the practitioner's instructions to keep my eyes away from the affliction.
I finally reached the point where I was unable to sleep at night because of the constant discomfort. Firmly but kindly the practitioner told me to keep my eyes and my thought away from the physical condition.
