SPIRITUAL STILLNESS
The
Psalmist sings, "Be still, and know
That I am God"; and those who heed
Discover Love's rich overflow
Makes green the wilderness of need;
And where discarded Hagar weeps,
Beside her parched and prostrate son,
Supplies the well of life and keeps
Inviolate the blessings won.
In stillness there is strength; then seek
What Love is waiting to bestow.
However black the night, or bleak
The way you seem compelled to go.
"Be still, and know"—"be still, and know."
