The Master's Theology Heals Today
Healing of disease by spiritual means is being widely investigated today, but religionists still concern themselves mainly with the sinner, leaving those who are sick to the care of the medical profession. However, when the true significance of Christianity is grasped, the theological breakthrough that appeared with the coming of Christ Jesus will greatly enlarge and increase the role of the Christian church, bringing the entire experience of humanity—the physical as well as the moral—under divine control.
For about three centuries the early Christians healed the sick and the sinning. But lacking the vitality and impetus of Science, the church drifted into traditional patterns of preaching and worship, and healing became relegated to the realm of materia medica.
Christian Science is restoring the Master's ministry of healing. It is proving that the spiritual truths that Jesus presented in his teachings and demonstrations are as applicable to the problems of disease as they are to those of sin. Both are now being healed in Science through spiritual means alone.
