Up to the age of sixteen, I...
Up to the age of sixteen, I had a Christian home with my parents. The next thirteen years were filled with the ills of an unhappy marriage, including the discords of smoking, drinking, and domination.
Even so, when my husband passed on, I felt a great loneliness, and I had a young daughter to bring to Christian womanhood. A friend who had come to the funeral of my husband gave me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Since reading and studying this book, I have been healed of the need to wear glasses for close work and have been set free from headaches and other physical difficulties.
I now have a home with a genuine Christian Scientist—I married the friend who introduced me to Science.
